Do be certain it is a Smartphone optimized site though, small distinction that will save you alot of heart ache and money.
The Smartphone market is booming; it is said that we are living in a “post PC world” where these devices have changed how we access information and where we access information.
We all know this right. So are you seeing any “traffic ‘?
Check if you are receiving Mobile traffic on your website.
- Log in to your web analytics software and click on mobile under the visitors menu.
- For Google Analytics users:
- Once you click on Mobile you will get two options, Mobile Devices and Mobile Carriers. Click on Mobile Devices.
- Once you click on Mobile Devices the number of visitors will be given to you broken down by devices they are using.
You should see IPhone, IPad & Android devices from consumers who are already shopping your hotel on their device.
(A site on IPad it does not have to be mobile optimized even though it shows up in the mobile section.)
The number may be small and revenue even smaller; this will change, volumes are increasing and your hotel’s mobile experience will determine the revenue.
Have you viewed your hotel website on a Smartphone? If not do it now and pass around to everyone with you. Would you stay on your site to research the hotel or more importantly would you buy?
If your site is not mobile optimized you are not behind the curve YET!!!
